The Tri-Valley YMCA offers families at Memorial Park School an option for after-school care.
At last week’s Waterville Board of Education meeting, Valarie Webb, leader of the Y’s before/after school program, explained to the Board what is offered at the elementary school. Parents pay the Y directly and there is no cost to the school district.
At the beginning of the year 11 students attended the after-school program. That has dropped to eight, Webb said, and the maximum due to staffing is 10.
