Clinton Central School will send two members of the girls lacrosse team on to play at the college level next year. Seniors Olivia Wightman, daughter of Rob Wightman of Clinton and Cathy Surace of New Hartford, signed a Letter of Intent last week to play for the University of Hartford. She will enroll in their physical therapy program and earn her doctorate. Sarah Owens, daughter of Barb and Tom Owens of Clinton, signed her Letter of Intent for St. Bonaventure University. Their coach, Chris Evans, called it the biggest day in the 10 years since the program started to have two players moving on to college teams. Wightman plays defense and Owens is a midfielder.
