As they do each year, volunteer firefighters from Waterville, Deansboro, Clinton, Brookfield, North Brookfield and Clark Mills visited area schools this month to talk about Fire Safety. Elementary students toured fire trucks, tried on equipment and uniforms and learned howto escape their homes in case of a fire. Firefighters also reminded kids to have their parents check and change the batteries in their smoke detectors.
