Funding Set For Work At Mill

The Environmental Protection Agency said last week funding is in place for cleanup of the Mill site in Oriskany Falls.

Larissa Romanowski, public affairs specialist with the EPA in the Albany office, said “the EPA has the necessary funding to conduct the work at the site. We expect work to begin this fall and will be providing stakeholders further details next week.’’

The EPA will receive bids for the work; cost estimates have not been given, but are expected to be in the millions due to the presence of asbestos on the site.

The full story is in this week's edition of the newspaper.
