Dozens of Clinton kids over 45 years thought they spent their summers swimming in Ibby Chiquoine’s pool.
While technically they were swimming in the Jack Boynton Community Pool, in spirit they splashed and paddled in the body of water Chiquoine spent as much of her time on as if it were her own.
To thank Chiquoine, who lives out of the area with family, for her efforts that kept the pool going through lean times, the new pavilion at the facility was dedicated in her name Aug. 11. Her daughter, Kate Chiquoine, and other family members attended on behalf of Ibby.
