Private Miller

Members of the Kelley-Phillips American Legion Post in Oriskany Falls and the Johnson City Post of Tennessee combined last week to give World War I soldier James Miller a military honor funeral for his descendants. Up until a few years ago, his family had no idea where he was buried. Allen Jackson, historian for King’s Mountain Post in Jonesborough, Tenn., hands Miller’s great-niece Kimberly O’Dell a flag with 48 stars.
