
Clinton’s successful track and field teams will be sending some athletes back to Cicero-North Syracuse this week for the state track meet.
All Section Three athletes who won their respective sectional title events competed at C-NS last week to qualify for the state meet. Athletes are put into a large or small category for competition; Clinton is in D-2.
Sophomore Roxee Hughes earned the first-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.85 seconds.
Junior Eva Borton will run in the 3000 meters after finishing fourth overall and second in D-2 last week.
Borton, along with Taylor Highers, Taylor Harvey and Madison Luke, took fourth overall and third in D-2 in the 4x800 relay.
