Nine nonprofit organizations in the Utica/ Rome/North Country region have been chosen from among more than 45 applications to receive Excellus BlueCross BlueShield’s Spring 2018 Community Health Awards.
Each award recipient will receive up to $4,000 of the $25,000 allocated by the company to help fund health and wellness programs in its 14-county region.
Among the nine recipients is the Clinton Chamber of Commerce. The grant will be used to support the Power of the Produce program, which helps children learn about and try new fruits and vegetables at the Clinton Farmers Market.
