Richfield Springs varsity basketball player Dylan Hosford scored 34 points in the Tri-Valley Championship triple-overtime game vs. Morris to bring the sophomore’s career total to 998. In his next game, his two points came in the early minutes of the first-round sectional game against Milford which the team won 77-52. Hosford scored 39 points. Hosford has been a varsity team member since 2019. He was promoted for post-season play when he was in seventh grade. His parents are John and Amber Hosford of Richfield Springs.Hosford received a 1,000 point basketball after reaching the milestone, presented by former Richfield Springs Central School 1,000 Pointers John Muller, Greg Harris, Ryan Kelly, and Kyle Grupp. Hosford is the 10th player (nine boys and one girl) in RS and ODY history to score 1,000 points.
