The Village of West Winfield and Town of Winfield have partnered to create a Comprehensive Plan for both communities.
The Clean Energy Community program allows the two municipalities to use $100,000 to upgrade their buildings so they are more energy efficient.
From there, the Climate Smart Communities program encourages communities to branch out on the effects of climate change to local infrastructure, the economy and other elements.
To better set the stage for the area to grow in the next 10 to 20 years, the Comp Plan with Sustainability elements will provide a foundation.
