Winfield Park Additions Discussed By Town Board

The Town of Winfield Board met Wednesday night to discuss new business.


Boardmember Sue Korosec thanked the Highway Department for installing Town signs and painting by the bridge.


Korosec led a discussion about installing fans in the Town Park Pavillion. Town of Winfield Supervisor Bill Miller said he wanted to get them installed in the Spring. Korosec suggested using ARPA money and installing two fans.


The Board held a discussion about labeling the breakers in the Town Park.


The Board held a discussion about things around Town for the Highway Department to do.


The Board held a discussion about hiring a full-time employee for winter plowing. The quote for a new Viking Truck for the Highway Department was received for $125,000. The Board held a discussion about buying a new tractor.


The Board held a discussion about charging visitors who reserve the Park Pavillion who don't clean up after themselves.


Dan Peo of the McRoriem Peo Agency met with the Board to discuss the insurance renewal proposal.


The new premium is currently at a cost of $27,283. The Board held a discussion about policies.


The Board approved a resolution approving the General and the Highway Abstracts.


The Board approved a resolution approving the Supervisor's report and the Clerk's report.


The Board approved a resolution approving the July meeting minutes, following discussion.


Miller notified the Board that starting in February, New York state will require all municipalities with a population over 1,500 to have a .gov website.
