Winfield Considers Option To Lease New Plow Truck

The Town of Winfield Board met Wednesday night to discuss new business.


Town of Winfield Supervisor Bill Miller led a discussion about rescheduling Town of Winfield Board meetings to the Tuesday before the 15th of each month to avoid conflict with Codes Officer Mike Connors' court commitments.


Highway Supervisor Dale Brown discussed a pay discrepancy in Town records.


The Board held a discussion about bill payments. ZBA Chair Keith Watkins advised the Board about necessary payments for utilities being specified in the Town law.


The Board discussed changing the language of a payment structure in Town law from a specific employee to a specific position.


The Board approved a resolution approving the Reorganizational resolution.


The Board approved a resolution approving the General Abstracts and Highway Abstracts.


The Board approved a resolution approving the Supervisor's and Clerk's report.


Discussion took place about not paying for a security supervisor for the solar project.

Brown led a discussion about reassigning Matt Peterson to the Highway Superintendent Deputy position.


The Highway Department is busy with removing snow and ice.


Brown alerted the Board about the sand barn being more than half empty this season and about repairs for Town trucks.


The Board held a discussion about leasing a truck to replace the 2013 plow truck and trading in an unused truck box as credit towards the purchase of a new truck.
