West Winfield Sets Halloween Hours

The Village of West Winfield Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of bills. The Board approved a resolution authorizing the September meeting minutes.


The Board held a short discussion about the Treasurer's report and an increase in fuel prices.


The Board approved a resolution declaring Oct. 31 Halloween. Trick-or-Treating is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and curfew is 8 p.m. Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of the bond anticipation note for the Village of West Winfield Fire Department ambulance.


A leak in the Water system is being chased down on South Street, according to Village of West Winfield Mayor Jim Thomson.


Codes Officer Mike Connors said he issued three or four permits in September and he needs to check on the progress of previously issued permitted projects.

One cited residence has seven days to correct their grievance or they'll be billed for the Village's hiring of a landscaper to mow the property.


The Board held a discussion about replacing the suspension on the West Winfield Fire Department’s ambulance. The Fire Department answered 41 medical calls and six fire calls in September.


A letter about the Village's Clean Energy initiatives is being mailed. The Board has submitted grant applications…
