Village Green Improved in Clinton

The Village of Clinton Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved resolutions accepting the April 4 and May 2 meeting minutes. The Board approved a resolution auditing vouchers.


The Department of Public Works hauled seven loads of trash weighing 12.32 tons at a cost of $763. Eighteen tires, 10 TVs, and 29 loads of green waste were removed.


The Village Green was cleaned, some spots received topsoil. New sidewalks and ramp access around the Village Green Fountain were poured. Trees were trimmed with one being removed.


Three trees were planted on Upper Mulberry Street with two trees removed and one trimmed on Proctor Avenue.


The Water Department pumped a total of 15,748,100 gallons for May. Plant 1 pumped 12,047,700 for a daily average of 388,636 gallons. Plant 2 pumped 3,700,400 for a daily average of 119,368.


One hundred and ten gallons of Chlorine and 395.1 pounds of Fluoride were used. A two-inch leak on Sanford Avenue was found and a valve was replaced.
