Unsafe Buildings Coming Down

The Town of Kirkland Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution approving the April 28 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution appointing Town of Kirkland Supervisor Robert Meelan as responsible local official for EBO access and administration for the Kirkland Trails, Phase II project.


The Board approved a resolution approving the demolition of an unsafe building at 4375 Saunders Road, Clinton.


The Board approved a resolution approving the demolition of an unsafe building at 7614 State Route 5.


The Town Park is open for the season and was recently mowed.


The Arena is being painted, and the Rink Association is donating siding for the press boxes.


Tennis courts and Pickleball courts are being installed at the Park.


SWOCO is doing its Spring cleanup. SWOCO is planning their July annual meeting.


Meelan held discussions with the company producing the Fourth of July celebration fireworks display.


He said he wanted the fireworks to launch from the Town Park.


The Board approved a resolution auditing the payment of bills.
