Town Approves Roof Bid

The Town of Kirkland Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.

A resident met with the Board to request the Highway Department dig a trench along the shoulder of the road at their property to redirect water runoff from pooling and destroying their driveway.

The Board approved a resolution approving budget transfers and amendments for the Municipal Building roofing project.

The Board approved a resolution approving the Kirkland Planning Board as the Steering Committee for the Town of Kirkland Comprehensive Planning Update project.

The Board approved a resolution to award the Municipal Building roofing project bid to VAD Contractors for $197,000.

The Board approved a resolution appointing Steve Orvis as the Climate Smart Community Task Force Coordinator.

Boardmember Melanie O'Neil reported the Lions Club is hosting a garage sale Aug. 6, 7, and 8.

Boardmember Rick Maxam commended Bob Belenski for identifying unmarked manhole covers around Town.
