Tenure Celebrated For Mount Markham Faculty

The Mount Markham Central School District Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.


Gene Doremus spoke to those in attendance to share the news about the four-school 50-plus graduation reunion in the summer.


MMCSD Superintendent Joe D'Apice started the meeting with a review of the five District plans available for first reading. The plans are open to be read for the 30 days from Tuesday.


The meeting took a short recess to celebrate tenure being granted to Jenny Wameling, Amanda Boston, Nicole Burgess, Angela Martin, and Tanya Gadziala. D'Apice congratulated everyone for their hard work on receiving the tremendous honor and thanked them for their dedication to the students of Mount Markham.


D'Apice gave a special congratulations to Todd Christian for being named to the Mt. Markham Hall of Fame.


D'Apice gave a big thank you to the community for the voter turnout and approval of the three propositions, including the 2022-23 budget. Returning Boardmembers Philip Casler and Robert Cross spoke at the meeting thanking the community for their support and the important role the school board plays in the community.
