Although it was a mostly cloudy day, it was opening day at the Jack Boynton Community Pool on Norton Avenue in Clinton. Swimmers trickled in on opening day, where they enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool and various lawn games. Lifeguards were posted and other staff members were on duty to help all those who attended. Just a couple of days prior to the first day of public swimming in Clinton, the pool received a nearly $5,000 donation from the “Subaru share the Love” initiative. In May, the Clinton Pool held its annual spring fundraiser at MKJ Farm in Deansboro. The pool is open daily from 1 to 7 p.m. Day Pass admission is $6 a person for June and $7 per person July and August. Full-season and monthly memberships are available, along with swimming lessons for members and nonmembers. For more information on passes and events, visit www.clintonpool.com. The Clinton Pool, which has been serving the community for over 60 years, is classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and accepts donations through the above website.
