Students Share Academic Ideas

The Mount Markham Board of Education met Tuesday night to discuss new business.


Officers of the sophomore and freshman classes at Mount Markham High School met with the Board to answer questions about the current student experience.


One suggestion was for a student to opt-out of freshman seminar class for an extra study hall if the student has a full academic schedule.


School lunches were well- reviewed.


Choice of classes for high school students is appreciated.


The addition of fresh cut fruits was suggested.


Boardmember Tom Huxtable asked some questions about the students' plans for the rest of high school, college, and post- graduate.


Huxtable offered some guidance about the decision-making process for their next few years.
