Salt Shed In The Works For Town Of Litchfield

The Town of Litchfield Board met in June to discuss options for the new salt shed.


Town Supervisor Jim Entwistle opened the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Entwistle reviewed the balances of the bank accounts. The Highway fund and General fund bills were passed to the board members. All bills were signed and approved by the board for payment.


The board minutes from the May meeting were approved with one correction.

Codes Enforcement Officer Ray Donley advised he has received three permit applications, with three more in the works.


Donley said Jake Rasbach has filled out a permit application to replace a trailer he removed from his property. Donley advised, according to 2005 town law, multiple dwellings cannot be placed one a single plot of land.


Donley stated the permit would be denied. The request would then go before the Zoning Board of Appeals.


Rasbach stated the trailers were approved 25 years ago to be placed on a single plot of land.


Herkimer County Legislator Ray Donley stated New York state has funded the Columbia Solar+ Storage Project. The 350 MW project would be in the Towns of…
