Run Set For June 9

The Town of Kirkland Board met Wednesday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the April 10 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution appointing Matthew Albertine for Records Management.


The Board approved a resolution appointing Valeri Valent as Deputy Town Clerk and Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics.


The Board approved a resolution to accept the agreement to provide emergency medical treatment for dogs and cats.


The Transfer Station’s Opening Day is May 6 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A reminder that Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste is an option for days when the Transfer Station is closed.


There is no schedule for Green Waste pick-up. It will occur at the discretion of the Highway Superintendent.


Anyone interested in participating in the Fourth of July Parade is asked to contact the Supervisor's Office and ask for Kathryn.


Town Supervisor Bob Meelan said a letter was received from the Run for the Fallen for use of the roads in the Town and Village for Friday, June 9, and Saturday, June 10. The Board approved a resolution allowing the use of roads for the Run for the Fallen.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of bills.


The next Town of Kirkland Board meeting is scheduled for May 8 at 5 p.m.
