Residents Oppose New Solar Project

The Village of West Winfield Board met Monday night to discuss new business.


A presentation was given to the public in attendance about the Solar Farm project.


Many members of the public attended to voice their displeasure with the project.


The representative of the solar company asked residents to allow the process to continue and not place a moratorium on the project.


The Board held a discussion about their obligation to residents throughout this process.


The public held a discussion about the tone of the solar company representatives.

The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of vouchers.


The Board approved a resolution approving the April 8 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution approving the Treasurer's report.


The Board approved a resolution to relevy $13,153.61 in unpaid water bills to taxes.


The Board approved a resolution approving Village of West Winfield Mayor Sandy Smith to sign the tax warrant.


The Board approved a resolution approving water bill reductions because of an underground leak.


The Board approved a resolution to delete bill 256 for $51.50.
