Residents Ask For Help With Speeding Vehicles

The Village of West Winfield Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of vouchers. The Board approved the Jan. 9 meeting minutes after a short discussion about clarifications.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Treasurer's Report after a short discussion about the Fire Truck payment paperwork.


The Board held a discussion about line-item transfers and scheduled a budget workshop for Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.


Village Codes Officer Mike Connor said he performed an occupancy inspection, saying the residence required more sheetrock on the walls and ceilings and the wiring needed changing.


The Board held a discussion about rewiring the power source to the Electric Vehicle charging station.


Board member Sandy Smith said she sent emails to representatives about providing funding for the water system replacement.


A 200-foot section of road was estimated to cost $7,000-$8,000 for repairs.


The Board held a discussion about the First Responders tax exemption. A Public Hearing on the exemption is scheduled for March 13.


The West Winfield Fire Department answered 50 calls in January, of which 45 were EMS calls and five Fire Calls. Another 14 calls…
