Pantry Donation

Hamilton College’s Town-Gown Fund gave a donation of $5,000 to The Country Pantry in honor of one of its founders, Andy Burns, a Clinton native, 1978 graduate of the college and the push behind the Thank You Albert Prettyman weekend and Kraft Hockeyville title in 2018. He was also a founding member of the Town-Gown Fund in 2001. Mary Zimbler, director of the food pantry, said 641 families were served in January, including 73 who needed assistance for the first time. Taking part in the donation were members of Andy’s family - brother-in-law Chris Evans, brothers Nick and Dave Burns, niece Sydney Evans, who will be a freshman at the college in the fall and sister Carrie Evans - along with Mary Zimbler and Hamilton College President David Wippman.
