Mount Markham Class of 2021 student Jordan Treen was named Youth of the Month for January by the Mount Markham Optimist Club. She is the daughter of Steven Treen of Ilion. Jordan was a member of the FFA Club, the Varsity Club and National Honor Society. She played volleyball and softball all through school and participated in soccer. She received awards for volleyball and perfect attendance. She plans to attend Mohawk Valley Community College to study in the radiology program and then transfer to SUNY Upstate Medical Center to earn her bachelor’s degree. She chose Tavish Rathbone as her favorite teacher, saying he provided his students with real world tools to use when leaving MMCS.
