New Water Pump Installed By Town

The Town of Bridgewater Board met Thursday night to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution approving the March meeting minutes.


Jerry Perry reported the new pump is working great and the numbers are down. Perry said things are looking up and the Town has one new water connection.


Town of Bridgewater Supervisor Dale DeKing said the reports of an inspection arrived.


DeKing said a suggestion was made to change a pump at the well house with a newer-style pump because of the design of the pipe system.


The Board held a discussion about the replacement process and timetable.


Town Assessor Patricia Terns said all the assessment information was submitted to Oneida County.


The soft start system in the utility warehouse burned up during a brownout and needs to be replaced.


The Board held a discussion about working on the Town Creek and applying for a DEC permit.


The Board approved a resolution to accept a bid to purchase a vehicle for $44,141.69.


The Board approved a resolution to accept bids for equipment for sale on Auctions International.


Boardmember Tom Meininger said records were reviewed and everything checked out.


Boardmember Mike Pcola discussed purchasing a Town Clock.


DeKing said the contract renewal for mowing and ditching was received, and no action is required because the Town accepted the renewal last year.


The Town received a call about accepting $20,000 for work on the East Street extension.


The Board approved a resolution to move $31,734 from the General Fund for wiring and repair work.


The Bridgewater Fire Department answered 31 calls for March.


The new ambulance should be delivered soon.


The Board approved a building-use permit for a birthday party at the Town Hall.


The Board approved a resolution to pay the general bill for $40,305.68, the highway bill for $10,530.72, and the water bill for $5,935.94.
