The Town of Winfield Board met this month to discuss new business.
The Board approved a resolution approving the payment of abstracts.
The handicap bathroom renovation in the Town Park is almost complete.
Guardrails on Jones Road were repaired.
Codes Officer Mike Connors issued four permits, one for a septic system, two for rooftop solar panels, and one for a deck removal and replacement.
Town of Winfield Supervisor Bill Miller reported Excellus insurance requested a rate increase.
The Board held a discussion about establishing an ambulance district and noted the Village of West Winfield is the lead agent.
Miller said he would be negotiating a new contract with the West Winfield Fire Department.
A public hearing to discuss the Delaware Solar project is scheduled for July 9 at 6 p.m. before the July Town Board meeting.
The Board approved a resolution to open a new bank account with Wayne Bank specifically for the solar project.
The Board held a discussion about charging for use of the pavilion next year and requiring people who use the pavilion to sign a form making it their responsibility to clean up and lock the bathrooms.
