The Clinton Central School Board of Education returned to in-person meetings for business last Tuesday evening in the Clinton High School Media Center.
The annual reorganizational meeting preceded the regular business meeting. CCS District Clerk Julia Scranton opened the meeting asking for nominations for CCS Board of Education President.
Melinda Leising was nominated and unanimously elected to the position. Leising signed the Oath of Office for President before Mary Lou Lauchert, who had been president, signed the Oath of Office to take the Vice President's chair.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Scranton to the District Clerk position. Assistant Superintendent for Business Joseph Barretta was designated substitute District Clerk.
The Board approved a resolution naming Barretta Treasurer for the District. The resolution authorizes Barretta to sign checks for payroll, trust and agency, general fund capital, and federal and cafeteria fund.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Angela Thieme as CCS Tax Collector.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Linda Voce as Internal Claims Auditor.
The Board approved a resolution naming D'Arcangelo & Co., LLC Independent Auditors for the 2021-22 school year.
