The Village of Clinton Board met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.
Village of Clinton Mayor Elizabeth Tantillo began the meeting with a thank you to veterans in recognition of Independence Day. The Board approved resolutions accepting the June meeting minutes into Village record, auditing vouchers, and accepting the Finance Committee report.
The Department of Public Works removed eight loads weighing 11.62 tons to the Oneida/Herkimer Solid Waste Facility. Eight tires were moved and no metal was recycled.
Twenty-six loads of mixed yard waste and one load of hard fill was removed. The DPW cleaned, mowed, and swept the Park and made preparations for the Fourth of July celebration.
Road maintenance is ongoing with potholes being cold patched. Work is being done on the Chestnut Street catch basins, and pipes are being repaired. Five trees were removed around the Village last week, two on Chenango Avenue, one on Fountain Street, one on Marvin, and one on Franklin.
The Water Department pumped 15,520,200 gallons in June, averaging 517,340 gallons a day. Plant 1 pumped 13,168,600 gallons and Plant 2 pumped 2,351,600 gallons. That used 125 gallons of Chlorine and 403.8 pounds…
