Mustangs Football Rolls By Bulldogs

The Mount Markham Football team defeated Westmoreland/Oriskany 49- 8 at Westmoreland Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated.


The opening kickoff by Arjay Piersma was returned 16 yards by W/O before Hunter Makuch made the first tackle of the game.


W/O threw an incomplete pass on first down before throwing an incomplete pass on second down.


A MM defensive holding on the second down incompletion awarded a first down to W/O.


Pressure from Chris Perry forced a W/O Intentional grounding for a 15-yard loss.


A seven-yard completion on 2nd & 25 was stopped by Caden Walker and Damion Case. Richie Inman and Damien Neff sacked the W/O Quarterback for a loss of 11 yards, leading to a W/O punt for no return on 4th & 29.


Christian Jones rushed for 23 yards on 1st & 10. A MM false start set up 1st & 15 before Jamison Young rushed for a 17- yard touchdown.


The missed point after try held the lead at 6-0 MM.

The MM kickoff was returned 20 yards before Cashen Atwell and Perry made the tackle.


Jermaine Davis made the tackle for a loss of three yards on first down.
