The Village of West Winfield Board met Monday night to discuss new business.


Village of West Winfield Mayor Sandy Smith gave a thank-you note to Nicholas Thomas for his work on the Hometown Heroes program for the Village.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of vouchers.


The Board approved a resolution approving the July meeting minutes with corrections.


The Board approved a resolution approving the Treasurer's report.


The Board approved a resolution accepting a total of $2,005 in donations to the Community Activities Fund.


The resolution accepted a $1,000 donation from SJS Appraisals, $500 from PrecisionMatics from John and Steve Pustay, $300 from Boss' General Store from Jamie Christian, $48 from the Donation Jar of Music Monday, July 14, $81 from the Donation Jar of Music Monday, July 28, and $76 from the Donation Jar of Music Monday Aug. 4.


The Annual Financial Report was submitted and is available on the Village website and Open Book NY.


The Cart Program has 133 residents signed up as of Aug. 8.


A 2% Foreign Fire Tax payment was made to Henry Hiteman for $3,600.20.


The Water Department is working on a hydrant on North Street and a hydrant near the school.


A leak was found and needs to be repaired.


Smith asked NYSEG to replace outlets on new utility poles.
