Mt. Markham Board Brings On Students

The Mount Markham Central School District met Tuesday night to discuss new business.
Mt. Markham Central School District Superintendent Lauren Crisman reported, "We've had a ton of events. We're super busy with orientations.
“The Middle School hosted an open house the first week of school, and the Elementary School hosted their annual back-to-school bash. Our campus is busy every day," she said.
Crisman spoke about the ex-officio student board members. "I met with six wonderful young ladies on Friday. It's exciting for another perspective for the Board."
Crisman then reviewed her expectation for how the ex-officio process would go.
The District has enrolled 1,037 students, with the Elementary School holding the most students, according to Crisman.
Crisman then spoke about the District's communications systems.
The buildings' message board features are being used already, and Crisman said she is working towards being able to contact 100% of the District's families.
Staff is training for crisis situations with drills planned for later in the week and having already taken place.
Crisman took a Capital Project walkthrough, saying there's a lofty list of things still needing to be completed or repaired.
Crisman spoke briefly about planning for the next Capital Project and getting an updated building condition survey. ...
