Mount Markham District Gets Strong Audit Ranking

The Mount Markham Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.


MM BOE President Jay Kulczak welcomed those in attendance. The meeting began with an IT Department report from John Henry Lane and Kyrill Verenrich.

Lane and Verenrich went through the list of projects implemented in the previous school year as well as future plans for classrooms and students.

MMCSD Superintendent Joe D'Apice said the work of the IT Department has been great so far and he thanked the two for the work they do for the District.


West & Company Representative Michael Rossi spoke to the Board to report the findings of the Audit Report. Rossi said West & Company presented an unmodified opinion for MMCSD with no material weaknesses, no significant deficiencies, and no findings.


A qualified opinion was given regarding the extra classrooms activities fund because the event itself cannot be audited, however no issues were given otherwise.


The Board approved a resolution accepting and approving the consent agenda.

The Board approved a resolution approving actions on financial matters as recommended by the internal claims auditor.
