MMCS Receives Top Audit Rank

The Mount Markham Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.


The Board began the meeting adjourning to executive session to discuss a personnel matter.


The Board returned from executive session and no members of the public spoke.


Mike Rossi of West & Company met with the Board to provide an audit report. Rossi reported an Unmodified Opinion for MMCSD, the highest achievable opinion.


He added it was a clean audit with no major issues. The Board voted to accept the audit report as presented.


MMCSD Superintendent Joseph D'Apice gave well-wishes to Dale Williams following his retirement as a bus driver.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Sept. 28 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the recommendation of action on financial matters from the Internal Claims Auditor.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the resignation of Williams.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the resignation of Caroline Arancio Clowes with best wishes.


The Board approved a resolution appointing LeRoy Guyer Jr. as a Bus Monitor/Bus Attendant.


The Board approved a resolution adding Samantha Baielein and Sean McClusker to the substitute list.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the action on property tax adjustments…
