Memorial Day Observed

Memorial Day 2024 opened with parades, wreath layings, talks reminding people of the significance of the day and other observances. In Waterville speaker Tim Jones talked about four of the 1.2 million American soldiers who have died in wars: Clifford Fulmer, Henry Wascow, Otis Robert Jones and John P. Sigsbee. As part of the events in Clinton a ceremony at the Old Burying Ground unveiled a new sign and gravestone. Photos also on Page 6.
