Madison Central School announced the students with Top Ten academic standing for the Class of 2022.
Anna McNamara, daughter of Adam and Melissa McNamara of Knoxboro, is this year’s Valedictorian. McNamara has an overall weighted average of 101.54 and plans to attend Houghton College to major in Chemistry/Biochemistry.
She will also be partaking in the Science Honors Program there.
As an active member of her school community, she has participated in several activities including: National Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, FFA, Senior Band, Jazz Band, Senior Chorus, Select Choir, SADD, Prom Committee, Mathletics, Varsity Track and Field, Interact, International Club, Marching Band, Musicals, and Student Council.
She has served as a class officer.
Maria Peavey, daughter of L. Kurt and Colleen Peavey of Eaton, is this year’s Salutatorian. Peavey has an overall weighted average of 101.22 and will be attending Roberts Wesleyan College to major in Psychology.
She has been involved in many groups during her high school career including: National Honor Society, Senior Chorus, SADD, Prom Committee, Varsity Soccer, The MADKA Yearbook, Varsity Track and Field, Musicals, Interact Club, Art Club, and Student Council.
She has also served as a class officer.
