Lottery Will Fill Spots In Clinton Pre-K Program

The Clinton Central Schools Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.


CCSD Superintendent Christopher Clancy began the meeting thanking the list of retirees.


Tracy Abrams, Meredith Callaghan, Christine Carbone, Norm Deep, Michele Dunn, Sarah Hullar, Patricia Houser, Tammy Mickle, Mary Anne Murray, and Catherine Petrie are retiring after a combined 273 years working at CCSD.


In addition, High School Principal Dr. Matthew Lee and Assistant Superintendent of Business Joseph Barretta are resigning.


Clancy thanked the retirees for their dedication to the District and thanked Barretta and Lee for their work with CCS and wished them luck for the future.

CCSD Athletic Director Bob Bentley gave a review of the Winter Sports season.

The boys bowling team was named a Scholar Athlete team.


The girls ice hockey was named a Scholar Athlete team with four Section III All-stars and two honorable mentions.


The boys ice hockey team had one Section III All-star with three honorable mentions. Aiden Soika was named Honorable Mention All-State Division II.


The girls basketball team had one CSC Division I All- Star first team, one second team, and one honorable mention.


The boys basketball team had two Section III Senior All- Stars and CSC Division I Player of the Year Tega Igho. The team had two first team All-stars, two honorable mentions and two players named to the Section III Class B All-Tournament team.


Igho joined the 1,000 point club this past season.
