For the second time in nine years, Central New York is hosting the World Lacrosse Box Championships in Utica.
Games begin this week with the Gold Medal Game scheduled for Sept. 29.
The Canada National Indoor Lacrosse Team is undefeated, having won the previous five world championships and each time defeating the Haudenosaunee Nationals Men's Lacrosse Team in the Finals.
This is the first year a Women's Tournament will be held with 10 Nations qualifying.
Utica is hosting a Men's Tournament record 28 Teams for the 2024 World Championships.
