Kirkland Will Honor Vets

The Town of Kirkland Board met Wednesday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Feb. 28 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution approving the use of Town roads for the KAC run Saturday, June 1.


Rebecca Stilts spoke with the Board asking for permission to hang Veterans Banners in Town.


The Board approved a resolution supporting installing the banners.


Town of Kirkland Supervisor Bob Meelan said a $42,925 fine against Oneida County was transferred to the Trails Committee for improvements.


Meelan said preparations have begun for the 4th of July celebrations.


Meelan held a discussion about the Town not signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the DRI sidewalk repair project.


Meelan said he did reach a deal with the Village to install bathrooms in Lumbard Hall.


The Board approved a resolution approving the payment of bills.


The next Town of Kirkland Board meeting is scheduled for March 27 at 5 p.m.
