Kirkland Agrees On PILOT Plan

The Town of Kirkland Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution to approve the sale of a rake and dump trailer on Auctions International.


The Board approved a resolution adopting the Volunteer Fire/Ambulance Tax Exemption.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the execution of a 40-year PILOT agreement among the Town of Kirkland, Clinton-Mohawk Apartments, LLC, and Kirkland Housing Development Fund Company, Inc.


The Board approved a resolution accepting a bid by Central Paving for $238,337.


Town of Kirkland Supervisor Bob Meelan said, "Everyone knows about the devastation in the Town of Kirkland. We lost two young children and a young adult. It's devastating.


“I want to thank the State, the Highway Departments, the Police Departments, Fire Departments, and surrounding communities. It's amazing the cleanup

they've done so far.


“We've opened the Kirkland Senior Citizens Center for anyone who doesn't have power. National Grid distributed dry ice and water. The Clinton Arena is open for anyone who doesn't have water," Meelan said.


The next meeting is July 14 at 5 p.m.
