The Kirkland Art Center announced a grant award totaling $50,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts to support the complete renovation of their dance studio.

This grant is part of a capital project funding announcement by NYSCA, which totals over $32 million to 102 capital projects across New York state.

The Kirkland Art Center dance studio will be completely renovated, with

new state-of-the-art flooring and a heating/cooling system, to maintain dance as a core component of the arts at KAC.

Board member Damhnait McHugh, who co-wrote the grant application, said, "We are delighted to receive this award from NYSCA.

The renovations of the dance studio will breathe new life into one of our most popular programs.
