KAC 5K


The Kirkland Art Center’s annual run and walk took place this year in the decreasing shadow of Covid-19. Runners lined up at the Elm Street start line. They crossed the finish line on Williams Street to cheering crowds. Clinton residents Matt Lacey, Corey Zlatniski and Andy Ford took the first, second and third spots, respectively. Frank Whittemore, 81, ran, making last Saturday’s race his 39th. Clinton resident Helen Knowles, known for carrying a large American flag as she walks, took part in the run and walk. In addition to the race, Clinton Pottery held its annual “2nds Sale” on the Village Green. Kandace Lockwood Ceramics was also on the green selling pottery.
