The Mount Markham Central School District Board of Education met Tuesday night to discuss new business.
Director of Pupil Personnel Services Jason Sanchez said, "Pupil Personnel Services students receive the most inclusive environment available. Some programs are restrictive but we try to provide the least restrictive environment.
“We're able to meet most students' needs in district with our integrated co- teaching platform," he said.
Sanchez said MMCSD meets the needs of current students with an important focus on emotional and social development.
The Board approved a resolution approving the consent agenda.
The Board approved a resolution accepting the Oct. 22 meeting minutes and the Oct. 29 work session minutes.
The Board approved a resolution accepting the resignation of Bus Driver Susan Farley.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Maryann Bugbee as a long-term substitute teacher.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Rebecca Rittenburg as a long-term substitute teacher.
The Board approved appointing Dylan Cyril as a cook.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Breeann Greenfield as a part-time lunch/recess aide.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Catherin Watkins as night cleaner.
The Board approved a resolution appointing Jessica Ward, Jessica Louch, Ashley Legacy, Havey Connors, and Kylie Carpenter to the substitute list.
MMCSD Superintendent Joe D'Apice congratulated the new hires and welcomed them to the District.
D'Apice congratulated Dan Mosley for his work in preparing the Sectional Cross- Country Meet at Mt. Markham and the football team for their Sectional Final appearance.
D'Apice said Administrators took part in a Swatting district safety exercise.
