Halloween Fun

Something new this year for kids in Waterville proved to be a big hit. Waterville Public Library, Memorial Park PTA and the Waterville Rotary Club moved the annual party from inside the school to outside the library. Kids and adults walked Owen’s Trail to pick up candy, play games and even enjoy a scary, or not so scary, haunted house. An hour after it opened there still was a line of people waiting to go. The PTA set up Gotham City and had a photo booth, and the trail ended with a couple of Trunk or Treat stops. This year's annual Halloween parade in the Village of Clinton was reminiscent of a pre-Covid spooky season. Kids of all ages donned their favorite costumes and hit the streets for Sunday's parade. The chilly, rainy weather didn't stop the fun. The parade route took participants up College Street to the fire station on Park Row. Parade participants were then treated to cider and donuts, courtesy of the Clinton Fire Department. More photos, pages 6 and 12
