In 1969 (54 years ago) Bridgewater, Leonardsville and West Winfield Schools merged, and became Mount Markham Central School.
In 1994, on the 25th Anniversary of the Mt. Markham merger (29 years ago) the Mt. Markham Foundation was established. The purpose of the Foundation is to finance educational events and equipment that may not be in the general school operating budget.
The Foundation is a vehicle for those in the community who wish to donate funds to the school.
In 1998, (25 years ago) the Mt. Markham Foundation held its first fundraiser golf tournament. Cedar Lake Golf Club hosted the event. Admission was $60 and included green fees, cart fees, prizes, and a buffet dinner.
