Flooding Problems Will Be Addressed Feb. 16

On Thursday, Feb. 16 there will be a presentation about flooding along the Sherman Brook in Clinton.


Sponsored by the Town of Kirkland, it will be at the Kirkland Town Hall from 6 to 7:30 p.m.


This engineering study will share information about some of the sources, causes and potential solutions to flooding in the Town of Kirkland.


The Town of Kirkland Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Jan. 3 meeting minutes. The Board approved a resolution accepting the Jan. 25 meeting minutes into record.

The Board approved a resolution approving the 2023 Capital Projects Plan.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing a $300,000 Budget Amendment to Account B 599 Appropriate Fund.


The Board approved a resolution approving Local Law 1 of 2023.


Town Budget Director Tony Arcuri said the Town would pay a $173,000 retainer for the Clinton Arena this week.


The Town is scheduled to hold a Zoom meeting with the New York State Office of Parks and Historic Preservation to discuss the Arena floor project projected to cost $1.1 million.


The next Town of Kirkland Board meeting and a public hearing are scheduled for Feb. 27.
