Two men died last week on a farm in Kirkland after falling into manure in a tanker.
Law enforcement reported that last Thursday morning one of the men reached into the tanker to get a piece of equipment that had fallen in.
He passed out from the fumes and fell in.
The second man tried to help, but he also passed out and fell in the tanker.
Workers at the Champion Farm called 911 and the men were taken to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
The men were identified as Nathan Doody, 33, of DeRuyter, and Tyler Memory, 29, of Tully.
Kirkland Police Department served as first responders, with aid from the Clinton Fire Department, COCVAC and Mercy Flight helicopter.
