DRI Project Applications Accepted Until July 10

The Village of Clinton Board met Monday night June 5 to discuss new business.


Village of Clinton Mayor Elizabeth Tantillo welcomed those in attendance. The Board approved a resolution to approve the May 1 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the auditing of vouchers after discussion regarding the proper line-item budget designations required.


Boardmember John Lauchert reported the Finance Committee reviewed the preliminary year-end financial statements. Lauchert said adjustments will be necessary to the statements before they're finalized. Additions to the fund balances are expected to total near $300,000.


The Wastewater Treatment Plant processed 50.5 million gallons in May. Some 312,000,000 million gallons have been treated in 2023 and 123.5 tons of biosolids have been processed.


Tantillo said the day of the meeting was the first meeting with the Downtown Revitalization Initiative Local Planning Committee and the consultants. Tantillo said the Village will have a plan for the funds by October.


Project sponsors have to reapply starting this week until July 10 and other projects will be given an opportunity for submission. The meeting's minutes will be available to the public online, Tantillo said she believes the process will be very transparent.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Department reports from April and May.


The Board approved a resolution to accept the Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge De-Watering agreement and Operations agreement.
