The Clark Mills Fire Department accepted a $6,000 donation from the Lewis family for 10 new personal thermal imaging cameras. CMFD Fire Chief Gary Spaven and Assistant Chief Dick Ouimette accepted the donation last week from Dan Lewis and Mike Lewis of Lewiston Estates. Dan and Mike's brothers, Mark and Luke, also donated as well but were not available to attend. The high-tech cameras allow firefighters to see through smoke and differentiate heat sources. In the event of a fire, any trapped people will be found much easier.
