Clinton Residents Raise Concerns Over Issues

The Village of Clinton Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.

The Board approved the July meeting minutes, audited vouchers, and approved administrative reports.


A resident met with the Board to discuss her concerns with the flooding problem on Sunset Avenue. DPW Superintendent Rob Rockwell responded by explaining why the drainage basin was ineffective and what would need to be done to increase the flow.


Rockwell pointed out the excessive and unusual rains over the past few months is the main factor for the flooding.


In response to several residents' concerns about the property on Anderson Place, Village of Clinton Mayor Elizabeth Tantillo said, "The notice of violations has been delivered by the Codes Enforcement Officer to the new property owners, with the closing scheduled for Aug. 12."


After further discussion from the residents and heavily suggesting to the Board it defaults the sale of the property to the new owners, Tantillo responded, "We had hangups…
